A Contemporary Ear

Quotation
by Salomé Voegelin

«Can we gain a contemporary ear that is entangled with insects, rivers, breath and politics?»

This quote is taken from reflections by artist and writer Salomé Voegelin who will enter into a conversation with Rewire Festival 2024’s artist in focus Annea Lockwood on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The quote is a  part of the Norient Special When the Sound Listens Back, a publication in collaboration with Rewire Festival 2024. It assembles essays and audio pieces reflecting ideas about the importance of listening beyond one’s ear, its ethics, and critical potential. Curated and edited by Philipp Rhensius and Katía Truijen.
