We’re celebrating the release of Norient City Sounds: Jakarta Whispers at Kios Ojo Keos on Saturday, 27 September 2025, starting at 7.30pm – and you are invited.

Here’s what’s happening: 

7:30pm Introduction
Curator Gisela Swaragita will walk us through the digital publication and sonic Jakarta

8pm Artist talk 
With Gisela Swaragita, and contributing label owner and musician Anida Bajumi, researcher Dymussaga and illustrator and graphic designer of NCS Jakarta, Diedra Cavina on creating a safe space for women and queer in concerts. We will distribute a leaflet with measures on how to prevent sexual harassment in music events. 

8.30pm Live
performance by Yogyakarta’s neo folk band Rabu

9.15pm Artist talk
With contributing music organizer, drummer, and graphic designer Saifulhaq in conversation with hardcore musician Januar Kristianto on music-making, touring, and organizing gigs in Jakarta

9.45pm Live
Sonic poetry by Jakartan-based musician Bin Idris
