Call for Photos.

Norient Call for Photos – submit until June 29, 2024

Home Is Where the Heart Strives

Like sound, no photo can ever be detached of the place it has been made.

Norient invites photographers to contribute selected works to the upcoming Norient book. Ten photos by different contributors from all around the world will be featured in the anthology on the notion of place in sound and music.

The book examines the relationship between ideas (virtual, psychological, ideological), a specific time, or physical spaces (defined by borders, political territorial) through various lenses:

  • How does a (virtual) place and its environments influence a work or the act of creating?
  • How do the global strengthening of the sense of «nation», nationalist politics, and the proliferation of wars, influence music and art in general?
  • How does a place sound?
  • How can one localize oneself without fixating on identity?

If this resonates with you and you think one of your photographic works would fit into our book (existing or new projects), submit until June 29 by e-mail to space@norient.com.

Submission guidelines – read carefully before submitting:
