Trust Your Instincts

Quotation
by Chico Dub

What is most important to you when curating?

Research. Research. Research. And then research some more. I’m talking about offsite research, but mostly field research. In a way that you really go and see / hear / experience what’s out there. Trust your instincts but sometimes let go of your ego. And don’t forget to have fun.

What are the biggest conflicts / pleasures you encounter when curating?

Biggest pleasures are discovering new worlds and shining a light into the unknown. And in the end, of course, see what you planned come to life. Biggest conflicts, besides struggling with low budgets, surreal deadlines, and government and institutional discredit, is being the most diverse you can be without forgetting who you are.

What does curating mean to you?

Curating for me means writing narratives.
