Sol Tornasol started her journey as a DJ in 2018 at house parties. With the onset of the pandemic and social unrest in Colombia in 2020, she found herself participating in various demonstrations and resistance efforts. Beyond just parties, she took to the streets, performing at balls, mobile stages, and livestreams. It was during these moments that she began delving into Latin club rhythms such as guaracha, dembow, and neo perreo, blending them with hard dance styles like hard house, trance, and vogue beat. Her artistic proposal aims to politicize the dance floor, creating inclusive spaces for all body types and sexualities. She seeks to shed light on music genres produced predominantly by women and individuals with dissident identities in Latin America.
