Portia Seddon teaches Women and Gender Studies at Hunter College of the City University of New York, where she is completing her Master’s thesis in Cultural Anthropology. She is a founding member of Critical Studies in Expressive Culture, a research collective and discussion network centered on aesthetics, radical politics, and critical social theory. Her research interests include digital music practices, Marxist politics, and urban soundscapes.
