Maria Uthe lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She completed her education from the Department of Visual Communication Design, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta with the final project of designing a manual book on domestic waste issues titled Living Less Waste (2019), which was printed and distributed independently. Currently, she is working freelance while managing a riso print studio – Kunci Copy Station, under the auspices of KUNCI Study Forum and Collective – with Agent OH.
