Maria Uthe is an art and cultural worker with a background in graphic design, explores design and publishing as forms of knowledge production. She involved in publishing unit, Kunci Copy Station, serves on Yogyakarta Art Book Fair committee, and participated in a 2021 publishing residency with Cooperativa Crater Invertido in Mexico. In 2024, she co-facilitated workshops on rest and careworks with Sejawat Merawat at the Indonesia Pavilion, 15th Gwangju Biennale in South Korea.
