Meredith Slifkin

Meredith Slifkin received her Ph.D. from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University, Montreal. She has been published in CineAction, Feminist Media Histories, and Testo a Fronte. Her research explores melodrama as a critical method for mediating the intersections of gender, genre, and nation in the cinema of the 1950s and 1960s, along and across geopolitical lines. She currently teaches at Wilfrid Laurier University and is a freelance academic editor.
