Jeremy Wallach is an associate professor in the Department of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, USA. He is author of Modern Noise, Fluid Genres: Popular Music in Indonesia, 1997–2001 (University of Wisconsin University Press, 2008) and co-editor of Metal Rules the Globe: Heavy Metal Music around the World (Duke University Press Book, 2011).
