Yves Chapuis was born in Lyss, Switzerland in 1995. In 2018, he received his B.A. in musicology from the University of Bern. In his thesis, Controversies in Ceòl Mòr. From Joseph MacDonald’s Compleat Theory to Today, he wrote about the changes to Scottish Gaelic court music for the great Highland bagpipes following the Jacobite Risings. He is currently working on his M.A. in musicology at the University of Bern.
