Meri Kytö

Meri Kytö works as a lecturer in musicology at the University of Turku and is an associate professor in auditory culture studies at the University of Eastern Finland. Her research tackles urban space, sonic domestication, articulations of acoustic privacy, soundscapes of political protest, busking, football fans, and public libraries. Currently she is working on themes like sensory agency, labour and technology, background music, and aural diversity. Visit her website.
