Jako Maron
Jako Maron is an electronic music artist from Réunion island. His music style is influenced by electro maloya. Maloya is the traditional music of Réunion island. It came from African slaves and Indian workers. In addition to his own productions for the Nyege Nyege tapes label and Sakifo production label, Jako Maron composes and makes sound design too for theater play, movies, and art exhibitions.
He participated in the international art exhibition of «La Biennale di Venezia 2019» in Natascha Süder Happelman’s project, Tribute to Whistle, for the German Pavilion. In 2020 he released the album Blaké, somin la nwit on the label Sakifo Production. In 2018, he released the album Les expériences electro maloya de Jako Maron on Nyege Nyege Tapes. In 2010 he released the album Saint Extension on Bipole.
