Erum Naqvi is an arts and cultural writer based in Berlin, Germany. She studied piano in the United Kingdom and completed a PhD in philosophy on Iranian classical music and intercultural aesthetics in the United States before completing postdoctoral research on contemporary Iranian performing arts at Berlin’s Freie Universität. Erum has published widely on international arts culture from regions including Cuba, Ecuador, Germany, Iceland, Iran, Spain, and the United States. Her recent publications include essays for Kunstleben Berlin, The Philosopher’s Magazine, Gallery Gudmundsdottir, and Gerdarsafn.
