Davide Serpetti was born in L'Aquila, Italy in 1990. He lives and works between Milan and L’Aquila. Serpetti's artistic research is based on three elements among which his works swing at different levels of intensity. The hero, the sculpture and the beast.

In most of his paintings these three elements exist as Chimeras, intended as anything composed of very disparate parts, or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible, or dazzling. The prominence of image-sharing platforms plays an important role in Serpetti's research as he work to depict the contrast between unique physical forms that seem to be devalued in modern society, and mass shared images that manage to shape mainstream beauty.
