In order to maintain a consistent style within the Norient Academic Online Journal these submission guidelines should be followed.
We ask you to make sure that the article is structured in the following manner when it is submitted for review:
Main Text
Endnotes
References (including weblinks – with access date)
Sounds
Filmography
Interviews
In addition please follow the following style sheet when submitting the article:
> The journal uses the Chicago Manual of Style with the author-date system and endnotes.
> We strongly encourage our writers to embed URLs, sounds and videos in the text. Please indicate the embedded media like this: [Embed youtube clip – URL] These sources have to be mentioned in the Reference section including when the online reference was last accessed – e.g. Majoie Ayi. 2006. «Aïcha.» www.youtube.com/watch?v=uM4RtiejRTw (accessed May 2, 2012)
> We also encourage our writers to use images. Please make sure that you have the necessary permissions to embed the images – we can not do that for you.
> Please also have a native speaker – especially if your native language is not that of the language of your article – proofread the article.
> When submitting the article drafts please send two versions, one with track changes, and one ‘clean’ new version.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the editor-in-chief David-Emil Wickström (dew at norient.com).
